this is a two parter.
Anonymous asked,
"hey Jasna, how can I convince my mom to let me wear makeup ?"
oh goodness ! let me start off by saying all parents are different. what happened to me with my parents may not happen with you.
O1: if she doesn't think you're old enough then act a bit more mature. y'know, by doing chores or something like that.
O2: give her REASONABLE reasons why she should let you wear it. for example, "wearing makeup will make me feel more confident" "i want to see my beauty's full potential" "i just want to try out some things"
O3: if she keeps declining, promise her you won't wear to much or that, you're just trying to get boys' attention or you only want to because your friends are.
O4: if all else fails, with your allowance, secretly buy makeup (to see which ones are good for beginners check out the second parter) and put some on. then, if she doesn't notice you're wearing it then say to her "mom, I told you I wasn't going to put on too much" REMEMBER, to actually NOT put on toomuch.
O5: if she says "I don't want to spend $1000 dollars on expensive makeup". tell her, "we can start off with cheaper makeup and then when I get a job, I can move up to the expensive ones"
WARNING:
don't whine, that's not very mature.
make your reasons VERY GOOD. "I just want boys to 'butter my muffin'" isn't a very good reason.
when you DO buy makeup, start off with drugstore makeup.
now, another question.

"hey Jasna, my school has a strict policy with makeup but I still want to wear some. what should I do ?"
aiight, my school has a problem with that too !
O1: keep it natural and NEVER CAKE ON.
O2: tight lining your waterlines, mascara, lip stains, loose powder or face powder and concealer (NOT FOUNDATION) are perfect for 'no makeup makeup'
O3: BUY A GOOD PRIMER/FINISHER. whether it be a cheap one or expensive one, you need one. tell me if mascara smudged eyes are natural.
okay, so. I hope I helped you guys out !
